Which F1 driver will score the most points over the final 10 rounds of 2024?

After beginning in much the same vein as 2023, the current F1 season burst into life in the lead up to the summer break.

Once F1 returns with this weekend’s Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort, there will be 10 rounds to determine the outcome of both the drivers’ and constructors’ championships.

Over the opening seven grand prix of the season, the three highest scorers were Max Verstappen with 161 points, Charles Leclerc with 113, and Sergio Perez with 107.

In the subsequent seven rounds, not only has the Dutchman’s number been drastically reduced, second and third place, respectively, are a Mercedes and a McLaren driver – just showing how much the year is evolving.

Since the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in May, Verstappen has claimed a further 116 points, whilst Lewis Hamilton and Oscar Piastri are just behind on 115 and 114 points each.

Whilst the start of the year means the drivers’ title is all but won, the constructors’ fight is just heating up between Red Bull and McLaren.

Overall, the run-in is delicately poised and set to produce plenty of entertaining racing. Seven drivers’ from the top four teams have already taken victory this season. Can Sergio Perez join the party?

Either way, there will be an unusually equal fight amongst those eight drivers over the final 10 rounds, which begs the question: who will come out on top?
