The Formula 1 Exhibition is heading to South America, with Buenos Aires confirmed as the first stop of a tour of the region.

The Argentinian capital will welcome the award-winning experience from 22 March, on a run until 1 June.

It will open a South American tour with other venues yet to be announced and with exclusive contributions from famous teams and drivers from the continent.

Having enjoyed an extended run at London’s Excel and previously been hosted in Madrid, Vienna and Toronto, Buenos Aires will next take over the show.

“It is truly a privilege being the promoters of The Formula 1 Exhibition in South America,” said Sebastian Bulgheroni, chief commercial officer of Fenix Entertainment, who will host the exhibition.

“We are very aware of the passion that Latin Americans feel for motorsports, particularly for Formula 1 and we are excited to give Argentinian fans the opportunity to get closer to it than ever before.

“We will be starting the South American Tour in Buenos Aires and then continuing to other countries within the region to satisfy the huge Formula 1 fanbase.

“Clearly, having such an incredible partnership and this state-of-the-art show is of great value as we continue to position ourselves as the most diversified and internationally expanding Argentine out-of-home entertainment production company.”

While Brazil hosts the Sao Paulo Grand Prix, there has not been an F1 race in Argentina since 1998, when Michael Schumacher claimed victory for Ferrari.

There was a boom in popularity for F1 in Argentina last year when Pilar-born Franco Colapinto joined Williams for the final nine races of the 2024 season.

Although he will begin the 2025 campaign as a reserve driver at Alpine, Colapinto’s presence, as well as the emergence of Globant as an official partner of F1, saw chief executive Stefano Domenicali hint at a return for the Argentine Grand Prix at some stage.

For the time being, March’s introduction of the F1 Exhibition will have to satiate the Argentine fanbase’s thirst for the series to return and F1 chief commercial officer Emily Prazer is pleased to be taking the show on the road in South America.
