Three F1 drivers set for Brazil sprint pit lane starts

Three drivers are set to take the start of the F1 sprint race from Brazil from the pit lane after changing parts after qualifying.

The Aston Martin duo of Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll have had the bodywork specification and the suspension set-up altered after Friday’s session.

Additionally, Stake F1’s Zhou Guanyu has had a suspension set-up change overnight, which has also been flagged by the FIA technical delegate Jo Bauer.

As a result, the trio are scheduled to start the race from the pit lane.

Aston Martin endured a challenging sprint qualifying session with Alonso and Stroll ending the session in 16th and 19th respectively.

Zhou was the slowest driver in the outing and moves from 20th on the grid to the pit lane for the start.

Oscar Piastri will start the race from pole position ahead of team-mate Lando Norris.
