During FP3, Carlos Sainz received a fine by the stewards. The Spaniard was speeding the pit lane.
The incident took place towards the end of the third free practice session of the weekend. As it is an objective decision, the stewards have already shared the verdict on the matter.
Sainz went over the 80 kph limit by 13.7 kph, and earned himself a fine of €1000 for breaching the sporting regulations.
The Williams driver finished in P11, and went wide once in the final corner of the ‘S’ section.
