Sainz summoned by Azerbaijan stewards over Perez incident

Carlos Sainz has been summoned to appear before Azerbaijan Grand Prix stewards for allegedly impeding Sergio Perez in Free Practice 2.

With the Red Bull of Perez on a fast lap, Sainz was slow through Turn 13, the fast-left kink after the exit of the castle section, with Perez forced to take avoiding action. 

As a result, the stewards have ordered the Ferrari driver to attend at 18:45 local time – 15:45 UK time. 

Perez finished second practice in second place, just 0.006s behind pace-setter Charles Leclerc with Sainz in fourth, about half-a-second down on his team-mate in the sister Ferrari.
