Sainz shows off new home after Ferrari exit

Carlos Sainz has completed his first visit to his new Formula 1 home, following his move from Ferrari to Williams.

The Spanish driver took to social media to reveal that he had visited Williams’ Grove factory for the first time, as his preparations for the new season continue to ramp up.

He will partner Alex Albon at the British outfit, forming what is one of the strongest driver pairings on the grid despite Williams being a midfield team.

Sainz had no option but to leave Ferrari at the end of 2024, with the Maranello-based team having confirmed on February 1 last year that Lewis Hamilton would replace him.

The four-time F1 race winner enjoyed a strong final campaign with the Italian outfit, claiming victories in Australia and Mexico City.

Remarkably, his victory in the Australian Grand Prix came just 16 days after undergoing surgery to remove his appendix.

Despite Sainz having only just visited Grove for the first time, he has already driven for Williams. He drove for his new team in the post-season test in Abu Dhabi, where he also completed a filming day.

To inform his fans of his first visit to Grove, the 30-year-old posted a selfie outside the factory, with the caption: “First day at Grove! @WilliamsRacing 💪🏼”
