Hamilton tipped to destroy Leclerc’s ‘upper hand’

Juan Pablo Montoya believes Lewis Hamilton is “going to win everything” within a matter of rounds after joining Ferrari for the 2025 F1 season.

The ex-Williams and McLaren driver feels that whilst Charles Leclerc will initially enjoy the “upper hand”, the seven-time drivers’ champion will soon assert his dominance.

Piastri shares original McLaren expectations after F1 title glory

Oscar Piastri has revealed he expected to score the occasional podium finish in the years following him joining McLaren at the start of 2023.

Speaking at the end-of-season FIA awards ceremony in Rwanda, where McLaren was accepting its first constructors’ championship since 1998, the Australian outlined how significantly their 2024 achievements had defied his initial expectations of the partnership.

Ricciardo shares F1 update amid Cadillac speculation

Daniel Ricciardo has ruled out joining the Cadillac F1 project for certain, with the Australian simultaneously also appearing to put an end to his F1 career altogether.

The 35-year-old was seen claiming he is “done” in a fan interaction caught on camera, which was later posted on social media.

F1 rookie number selection causes uproar – should the system be changed?

Since 2014, F1 has allowed drivers to race under a number of their choosing, but a recent number-based controversy has shed light on where fans might not be entirely happy with the current system.

With 2025 rookies Gabriel Bortoleto and Jack Doohan claiming the numbers five and seven, respectively, there has been a backlash online from fans who do not wish to see the old numbers of their favourites adorned on a different driver’s car.

Verstappen makes ‘forever’ Red Bull claim

Max Verstappen has claimed he is unperturbed by “legacy”, whilst also questioning the value of using drivers’ titles as a barometer for who is “actually the best” in F1.

The latter comment from the Dutchman could be considered a thinly veiled dig at his 2021 championship adversary, Lewis Hamilton, who has the joint-most drivers’ titles in F1 – with Michael Schumacher – on seven.
