Revealed: Mind-blowing Verstappen Red Bull statistic

Max Verstappen has become one of the most imperious drivers in Formula 1 history, making him almost unbeatable for any driver alongside him.

Since being promoted to Red Bull ahead of the 2016 Spanish Grand Prix, the four-time world champion has beaten four team-mates.

First was Daniel Ricciardo, who initially had the better of Verstappen before struggling to match the Dutchman.

Then it was Pierre Gasly and Alex Albon, two drivers who felt Red Bull’s wrath for not producing strong enough results.

For the past four seasons, Sergio Perez has joined Verstappen, but even he has now been replaced for 2025 by Liam Lawson.

Verstappen’s dominance over his past Red Bull team-mates is clear in a qualifying statistic. Since 2019, the 27-year-old has participated in 127 qualifying sessions.

Of those 127, Verstappen has out-qualified his team-mate 116 times, meaning he was only beaten on 11 occasions.

Gasly partnered him from the start of 2019 until the middle of that season, before being joined by Albon until the end of 2020 when he was replaced by Perez.
