Red Bull bolsters F1 junior academy with four signings

Red Bull has confirmed the signing of four new junior drivers in its latest injection of talent into its programme.

The Red Bull junior system has produced names such as Max Verstappen, Carlos Sainz, Daniel Ricciardo and Liam Lawson across the last number of years.

It currently has a handful of drivers competing across various junior formulae as it looks to find its next star for F1.

The latest four drivers to be confirmed in the programme are Christopher Feghali (Lebanon), Rocco Coronel (Netherlands), Jules Caranta (France) and Ernesto Rivera (Mexico), who join the previously announced Fionn McLaughlin (Ireland) and Scott Lindblom (Sweden).

The group took part in a three-day event at Jerez where they took part in a series of tests in Formula 4 and GP3 machinery.

Their performance was evaluated by Dr Helmut Marko, who has overseen the programme for several years.

“Bringing back Red Bull Driver Search has been an important step for our Junior Driver programme,” Marko said.

“The invited drivers already highlighted promising young talent, and we remain dedicated to fostering our Junior Drivers to shape the future of motorsport.”
