Red Bull and Ford meet after months of silence

Red Bull team principal and Ford CEO Jim Farley spoke for the first time in several months during the Italian Grand Prix weekend.

The two companies are set to join forces in 2026 when new technical regulations come into play, with Ford collaborating with the Red Bull Powertrains division.

Dutch publication De Telegraaf reports there has been silence between Horner and Farley for some time following an investigation into the former earlier this year.

Horner was accused of inappropriate behaviour by a Red Bull employee, prompting an investigation that eventually cleared the Red Bull team boss.

During the process, Farley issued a letter to Red Bull in which he called for a resolution to the investigation which had a “lack of transparency”.

Since then, communication has been lacking between the two – however that changed at the Monza Circuit on Saturday.

“The meeting went very well. They talked for about an hour about the plans for next year and for 2026,” a Red Bull spokesman told De Telegraaf. 

In addition to Farley’s presence, Red Bull’s Thai major shareholder Chalerm Yoovidhya and Red Bull boss Oliver Mintzlaff are also due to report to Monza on Sunday.
