Belgian GP qualifying results

It was a wet qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa, which ended with Max Verstappen fastest but Charles Leclerc on pole for the race.

Norris wary of Verstappen

Given Verstappen’s penalty, title rival Lando Norris would have been hoping for better than fourth on the grid, with the Red Bull 11th. 

Nevertheless, the McLaren driver is still wary of the challenge Verstappen presents.

Red Bull’s test

As speculation around his future swirls, Sergio Perez delivered his best performance in a while to end up second on the grid, just 0.011s behind Leclerc.

However, RacingNews365 understands that a test involving Daniel Ricciardo and Liam Lawson will take place next week, with the possibility of replacing Perez at the senior Red Bull team.

Hamilton’s upbeat feeling

Third place on the grid was a good result for Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes after it took some upgrades off the W15 after Friday practice. 

He is in a prime position to attack on lap one given the slipstream up the hill and down the Kemmel Straight.
