Lewis Hamilton put on a spectacle at a Milan street event on Thursday evening as the Briton, joined by team-mate Charles Leclerc, jumped behind the wheel of Ferrari F1 machinery.

Hamilton drove the SF21 from the 2021 campaign while Leclerc returned behind the wheel of the SF90 from 2019, which delivered him his first two F1 victories.

The event marks the last event for Hamilton in Ferrari red before his grand prix debut for the squad in Australia next week.

Ferrari’s run-out in Milan marked the first time in six years it carried a public function in the Italian city.

Hamilton voiced his desire to fight for the F1 title this season with Ferrari as he bids to win a record-breaking eighth championship.

“I can’t wait to get on track with this extraordinary team,” Hamilton said.

“I think we have everything we need to fight for the world championship and I also believe that you fans can be our extra gear. I hope we will have a lot of fun together.”

Hamilton completed his pre-season preparations in Bahrain last week as he assembles himself for a new career chapter.

However, prior to the seriousness of the upcoming season, Hamilton took to the Milan streets to gift the attending fans with a treat.
