Horner makes ‘no stone unturned’ Red Bull F1 vow

Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has asserted his team will leave “no stone unturned” as it seeks to rediscover its front-running F1 form.

Having started the season in strong fashion, Red Bull has slipped back in the pecking order of late.

It now holds just an eight-point lead in the constructors’ championship over McLaren as it seeks to implement a fix to balance concerns behind the wheel that have developed over the last number of events.

As it rushes to ensure it can maintain its championship leads until the end of the year, Horner highlighted it is pushing all of its resources to do so.

“You’ve got to question everything,” Horner told media including RacingNews365.  

“You have to question has something else changed? So you can leave no stone unturned.”

Horner explained the RB20 has a narrow working window, but is still capable of winning in the right conditions.

“Where we were before Miami, in China and Japan, we won at a canter,” he said.

“When the car is in the window and it works, you see in Austria, on all four sets of tyres, Max put the car on pole position and was leading the race easily until the final pit stop.

“Spa in the wet, even if you take out Max’s super talent, Checo was still on the front row.

“When the car is in the window it works as predicted, or closer to prediction. But that window is so small, and that’s what we have to work on, and we have to broaden its operating window.”
