Hamilton v Leclerc: Who will emerge on top in F1’s most intriguing team-mate battle?

The fight between Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc at Ferrari is broadly expected to be one of, if not the most, scintillating intra-team contests in F1 this season.

Whilst McLaren’s driver line-up arguably has more potential for fireworks, the dynamics at the Scuderia are simply enthralling.

On the one hand, there is the incredibly quick prodigal son, hand-selected as the heir to the Ferrari throne. Undoubtedly superior over one lap under the current regulations, he will prove tough for his new team-mate to beat.

But on the other, the vastly experienced, formidable seven-time F1 drivers’ champion, fulfilling a lifelong ambition by racing for the Italian team and hoping to attain the elusive eighth crown of his storied career – one that would break Ferrari legend Michael Schumacher’s record.

It is a cliché to suggest that a scriptwriter could not concoct a story like this, because they could, but there is undeniably a certain Hollywood-esque quality to the narrative.

Overall, Ferrari will have constructors’ championship aspirations after coming bitterly close to ending its title drought last term.

But who will come out on top between Leclerc and Hamilton will provide season-long intrigue.

Who do you think will score more points for Ferrari in the 2025 F1 season? Let us know by commenting and voting below in the latest RacingNews365 poll.
