Lewis Hamilton had admitted he assumed Max Verstappen was involved in an incident when he saw a “plume of smoke” in the early stages of the Mexico City Grand Prix.

The Dutchman clashed with Lando Norris twice on lap 10 of 71 at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, with the Mercedes driver afforded a good view of the second moment, into Turn 7.

Leclerc fears Verstappen punishment after press conference F-bomb

Charles Leclerc is hoping to avoid joining Max Verstappen in serving a ‘community service’ punishment after swearing in an official FIA press conference.

Verstappen was made an example of by the FIA over the Singapore Grand Prix weekend when he used the f-word during the press conference on Thursday ahead of the race.

Jos Verstappen questions potential FIA stewards bias against Max

Jos Verstappen has urged the FIA to “take a good look at the composition of the stewards” following son Max’s penalties during the Mexico City Grand Prix.

Three-time F1 champion Verstappen was hit with two 10-second time penalties following separate lap 10 incidents with rival Lando Norris.

Red Bull reveal scale of damage to ‘irrelevant’ Perez

Red Bull advisor Dr Helmut Marko has explained the “huge” extent of the damage Sergio Perez sustained during the Mexico City Grand Prix.

George Russell has claimed “19 of 20 drivers” are aligned on changes needing to be made to F1’s overtaking guidelines. 

The rules were once again in the spotlight in the Mexico City Grand Prix after Max Verstappen received two 10-second time penalties and two penalty points for incidents involving title rival Lando Norris.
