The first images of Lewis Hamilton’s latest test outing with Ferrari ahead of his grand prix debut have emerged.

Hamilton took to the track behind the wheel of the SF-23 on Tuesday, sharing track duties with team-mate Charles Leclerc.

The outing follows on from his maiden appearance in red last week at the Fiorano Circuit, where thousands of Tifosi lined the fences to catch a glimpse of Hamilton at his new team for the first time.

F1 teams are allowed to carry out 1,000 km of testing in older cars with full-time drivers, meaning Hamilton’s pre-season runs will be restricted.

The 40-year-old was driving on Tuesday in Barcelona and will have more runs on Wednesday and Thursday at the same venue.

Unlike his first outing in Maranello, Ferrari has not disclosed the number of laps completed by Hamilton around the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

The test will allow the driver and team to gel further and for Hamilton to build a relationship with new race engineer Riccardo Adami.

Ferrari will launch its 2025 F1 car on February 19, one day after it shows off its new livery at the F1 75 event in London.

The car will undergo a shakedown at Maranello that day before it is prepared to be put through its paces at pre-season testing from Bahrain, which runs from February 26 to 28.
