Pierre Gasly, Alpine, Bahrain International Circuit, 2024 pre-season test

Formula 1 teams have confirmed their driver line-ups for the sole, three-day test which will take place before the new season begins.

The test will take place at the Bahrain International Circuit, starting tomorrow. With less than 24 hours until the test begins, all teams expect for McLaren and Racing Bulls have confirmed at least part of their driver line-up arrangements.

Lewis Hamilton will start the test for his new team Ferrari tomorrow before handing over to team mate Charles Leclerc in the afternoon. Ferrari had not yet confirmed its plans for the remaining days.

Most teams will rotate between their two drivers each day. Also among those in action when the test begins tomorrow are new Red Bull driver Liam Lawson, Mercedes’ rookie Andrea Kimi Antonelli and Alpine’s new hire Jack Doohan.

Red Bull and Williams are the only teams who have so far indicated they will give their drivers full days in their cars. Lawson and Carlos Sainz Jnr will drive throughout Thursday, while their team mates Max Verstappen and Alexander Albon will do the same on the final day of the test.
