Ferrari CEO confirms when Hamilton will arrive at Maranello

Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna has confirmed that Lewis Hamilton will arrive at Maranello for the first time “next week.”

The seven-time world champion joined the Scuderia from Mercedes, but has never previously visited the Maranello factory or Fiorano test track.

Hamilton is expected to undertake some TPC (Testing of Previous Cars) running at Fiorano, prior to the official F1 season launch at London’s O2 on February 18th. The 2025 Ferrari is set to be unveiled the next morning, with pre-season testing in Bahrain kicking off a week later.

Speaking about Hamilton’s arrival, Ferrari CEO Vigna revealed that the 40-year-old, who has been in the United States, will arrive the week of January 20th.

“There is a lot of excitement, a great desire to begin,” Vigna said at a conference in Milan.

“Lewis will be with us at Ferrari next week. We are preparing the last things.

“There is a lot of expectation, we are ready for almost everything. We’ll make sure everything is in place. Changes are always beautiful.”

During his TPC testing, Hamilton will also work with new Ferrari race engineer Riccardo Adami after his Mercedes engineer Peter Bonnington was promoted and then re-assigned to Andrea Kimi Antonelli.
