Ferrari become first F1 team to reach historic milestone

Following the Belgian Grand Prix, Ferrari became the first team in F1 history to score 10,000 points as a constructor.

The Italian squad has been associated with F1 since the championship’s inception almost 75 years ago and is by far the most successful team in history.

Throughout its history, it has won 15 drivers’ titles and 16 constructors’ championships as well as 245 wins and 818 podiums.

Charles Leclerc added to the podium tally at Spa-Francorchamps on Sunday by classifying in third while team-mate Carlos Sainz enjoyed a run to sixth after winner George Russell was disqualified.

The results were enough to see Ferrari creep beyond the 10,000-point mark.

Red Bull has scored the second-highest total points in F1 history with 7,656, closely followed by Mercedes on 7,448.5.
