F1 owner under investigation as 2025 grid finalised – RacingNews365 Review

The European Union has placed the owner of F1, Liberty Media, under investigation over its proposed acquisition of MotoGP.

It was announced earlier this year that Liberty would seek to acquire Dorna Sports, which has the exclusive commercial rights to MotoGP – with Liberty seeking to bring it and F1 under the same ownership umbrella.

Racing Bulls announce 2025 F1 line-up after Lawson call-up

Red Bull has confirmed Isack Hadjar will make his F1 debut next season competing for the Racing Bulls team alongside Yuki Tsunoda.

Liam Lawson will step up to the front-running Red Bull squad and partner Max Verstappen in place of the departing Sergio Perez.

Lawson breaks Red Bull record with F1 promotion

Liam Lawson has broken an all-time Red Bull F1 record with his promotion from RB for the 2025 season. 

The Kiwi was announced on Thursday (19th December) as being Max Verstappen’s new team-mate, after Sergio Perez was jettisoned following a terrible 2024 campaign, scoring just 48 points in the 18 races since the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.

F1 fans deliver clear verdict on Tsunoda Red Bull rejection

Red Bull made the wrong decision in promoting Liam Lawson over Yuki Tsunoda, according to a RacingNews365 poll. 

The team opted to promote Kiwi Lawson after just 11 races at Racing Bulls to partner Max Verstappen after Sergio Perez was axed following a dismal season, scoring just 48 points in the final 18 races.

Spectacular Perez-to-Ferrari rumour debunked

Sergio Perez has been heavily linked with a move to Ferrari’s World Endurance Championship programme.

It was announced on Tuesday that after four seasons with Red Bull, Perez would be leaving the team after the two sides reached a mutual agreement over his contract. Perez signed a new one-plus-one deal in early June that guaranteed him a drive for at least 2025.

Tsunoda suggests Red Bull exit after promotion snub

Yuki Tsunoda has suggested he will look to secure his long-term future in F1 having been passed by for a promotion to Red Bull next year.

The Japanese driver outlined the path could take him outside of the Red Bull organisation, which he has been associated with since 2019.
