F1 stewards were wrong not to hand Max Verstappen a penalty in the Hungarian Grand Prix for colliding with Lewis Hamilton, according to RacingNews365 readers.
On lap 63 of 70 at the Hungaroring, Verstappen attempted to out-brake Hamilton for third place having tried to “rescue” himself after Red Bull’s strategy had dropped him to fifth late on.

McLaren fires stern warning to Norris and Piastri after team orders spat
McLaren boss Andrea Stella has warned Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri of their F1 futures at the team if they disobey team orders.
The closing stages of the Hungarian Grand Prix were dominated by radio exchanges between Norris and his engineer Will Joseph about allowing Piastri back through into the lead he had gained at Turn 1 on the opening lap.

Audi sign Binotto in major F1 project overhaul
Audi has announced the signing of Mattia Binotto as chief operating and chief technical officer in a reshuffling of its F1 project.
Binotto left his position as Ferrari team principal at the end of the 2022 season and has kept a low profile since, but will start work as COO and CTO at Sauber Motorsport on August 1.

Wolff addresses Schumacher and Verstappen in Mercedes seat update
Toto Wolff has provided further information on his thinking with regards to Lewis Hamilton’s soon-to-be vacant seat at Mercedes.
The 52-year-old contended that Mick Schumacher “deserves” a drive, but did not suggest he is part of the equation when it comes to finding a new team-mate for George Russell.

Brundle makes Verstappen ‘legacy’ claim after Red Bull radio anger
Ex-Formula 1 driver Martin Brundle has called for Max Verstappen to treat Red Bull employees better over the radio, with the Briton not wanting to see the Dutchman’s ‘legacy’ tarnished.
The reigning world champion heavily criticised Red Bull’s strategy during last weekend’s Hungarian Grand Prix and post-race, where he told critics to “fuck off”.

Proposal to change F1 points system reaches verdict
The FIA has confirmed the F1 points system will remain unchanged going forward following deliberations to alter the structure.
F1’s current point-scoring system of awarding points to the top 10 finishers has been in place since the 2010 campaign.
