F1 drivers set to face extreme conditions – Italian GP weather update

Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri will start the Italian Grand Prix from the front row as McLaren go in search of another dream result at Monza.

Weather conditions during the race weekend have been hot with temperatures often sitting above 30°C.

This will be no different for the grand prix with the temperature rising to 33°C during the race, which gets underway at 3 PM local time.

For the start of the event, temperatures may sit one degree lower than the maximum figure but conditions will be hot enough to cause the drivers to sweat heavily inside the cockpit.

There will also be little wind to disturb the drivers, a vast difference to the conditions that were seen last time out at Zandvoort.

Max Verstappen will start from seventh on the grid behind several of his rivals as he looks to end his win drought which stretches back to the Spanish Grand Prix.
