Jonathan Wheatley will join Sauber, who will become Audi in 2026, as early as this season. The former Sporting Director at Red Bull Racing was already confirmed at his new team last season, but due to ‘gardening leave’, it was still uncertain when exactly the new team boss would step in. Sauber has since clarified this.
The UK’s Gambling Commission has mandated the shut down of Stake’s UK website, following a controversial video which displayed the brand’s logo, this puts Sauber in a rather uncomfortable position since the gambling company is the team’s title sponsor.
During a historic event in London, all F1 teams will come together to reveal their liveries for the 2025 Formula 1 season. This is expected to be done using what is known as ‘show’ cars. Sauber will then take the car they have used and put it up for sale.
