Lewis Hamilton was involved in a crash at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in his latest test outing for Ferrari.
Following his initial shakedown at Fiorano last week, both Hamilton and team-mate Charles Leclerc arrived in Spain for a three-day private test behind the wheel of the SF-23.
Both drivers took to the track on Tuesday, with Hamilton using the test to further gel himself into his new environment.
The test continued on Wednesday morning – however, it ground to a halt when the seven-time champion was involved in a high-speed crash.
Spanish media reports that Hamilton jumped out of the car unharmed after hitting the barrier in the final sector.
However, the car reportedly sustained heavy damage to the suspension and aerodynamics elements, resulting in a repair job for the Ferrari mechanics on site.
Hamilton is set to return to the cockpit on Thursday for the final test private test outing ahead of the launch of the 2025 car on February 19.
The car will receive a shakedown that day by Hamilton and Leclerc at Fiorano before it hits the track in Bahrain at pre-season testing on February 26.
