Red Bull suffer huge fall as McLaren make stunning rise

Red Bull encountered a very difficult 2024 F1 season, with Max Verstappen’s fourth consecutive F1 drivers’ title being its saving grace.

The challenging campaign came on the back of the most dominant season in the history of the pinnacle of motorsport, with Red Bull winning 21 of the 22 races in 2023.

As a result, it scored a record 860 points, a mark it failed to get close to last year.

The Milton Keynes-based outfit suffered the biggest points fall of any team, from 2023 to 2024. Red Bull amassed 271 points fewer last year than it did in 2024.

At the top of the points difference table is McLaren, who scored 364 points more than in 2023 on its way to its first constructors’ title since 1998.

Ferrari was another team that scored significantly more points last season than in the year prior.

Like Red Bull, Aston Martin also suffered a substantial points drop, scoring 186 points fewer in 2024 than in 2023.
