Will Sainz usurp Albon as Williams team leader?

Carlos Sainz is on the move again in 2025, having signed a long-term deal to race for Williams having lost his Ferrari seat.

The Spanish driver has now joined five teams on the grid – Racing Bulls (then Toro Rosso), Alpine (then Renault), McLaren, Ferrari, and now Williams.

The signing of Sainz was a big statement of intent for boss James Vowles as he continues his rebuilding of the team, with Sainz’s signature validation of Vowles’ vision.

He is to be pitted up against Alex Albon – the established Williams team leader who has comfortably out-performed team-mates Logan Sargeant and Franco Colapinto.

Albon has previously been pitched against a grand prix winner, and indeed, world champion, in Max Verstappen at Red Bull, although he was promoted to Red Bull half-way through his 2019 rookie season, and then jettisoned at the end of 2020.

The arrival of Sainz represents Albon’s biggest challenge whilst at Williams, and we want to know if you think he can rise to the challenge.

In the poll below, we simply want to know who you think will score more points in the 2025 F1 season – Albon or Sainz?

Make sure to let us know what you think in the comments!
