Ferrari team boss Fred Vasseur has revealed that the mayority of the teams will complete the inaugural F1 Launch event with their previous F1 machinery.

For the first time in Formula 1 history, all 10 teams – Alpine, Aston Martin, Ferrari, Haas, Kick Sauber, McLaren, Mercedes, Racing Bulls, Red Bull, and Williams – their drivers and Team Principals will come together with fans for a special night to launch the new season, reveal their 2025 liveries, and mark the start of the sport’s 75th anniversary year.

This event will take place on 18 February 2025 between 8pm and 10pm at London’s The O2 and is being brought to life by creative visionary Brian Burke of BrianBurkeCreative, Stufish Entertainment Architects, DX7 Design, and production company 1826.

BrianBurkeCreative was also responsible for delivering the opening and closing ceremonies for the last year’s inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix. Burke is an International Emmy Nominated creative producer has created global music tours and worldwide live television series and events in recent years.

Asked to comment on the inaugural F1 Launch show, Ferrari team boss Fred Vasseur has revealed that he expects the majority of the field to roll out their new liveries on their 2024 F1 cars.

“It will be a great event. And it’s not the first time that the teams will launch a car with the car of the previous year. I mean, this happened a couple of times in the past.

“And at the end of the day, it’s more an event for… I’m not sure that you will look about the details of the car, the floor edge and so on in this kind of event, even when we are launching the car.

“And I think we all did it in the past to launch a car with fake parts. And it won’t be a fake part. It will be the car of last year. But the livery will be the good one. And I think it’s more for the fans, more for the drivers. And I think it’s a good event. We don’t have to criticise everything,” concluded the Frenchman.

Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff is looking forward to the first-ever launch show, claiming that it will feel like a race weekend after the off-season.

“I think it’s great. It is almost like a race weekend, we’re all coming together after the season, all teams will present, the drivers will present, there will be lots of media buzz around it, new liveries will be seen, and maybe for some of us hardcore fans you will be a little bit disappointed at not seeing the end product, but the truth is you will not see the end product until the end of the test anyway.

“Regulations stay stable and it’s a little bit like the NFL draft, but maybe a little bit with less consequences than the NFL draft. And I think we should be promoting that.

“We should be promoting testing much more than that. And I think Stefano and Liberty are doing a really good job in doing that,” concluded the Austrian.
