By the end of the 2024 F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, either McLaren or Ferrari will win their first championship since 2008. 

McLaren are favourites, some 21 points clear of the Scuderia and with its cars starting one-two on the grid, Lando Norris on pole from Oscar Piastri. 

Carlos Sainz is third but Charles Leclerc is out of position after an engine penalty change. Can the team rescue an unlikely title?

Elsewhere, for the 246th and final time, Lewis Hamilton will race for Mercedes, but from 16th on the grid following a rouge bollard in qualifying destroying his day.
