Max Verstappen has been penalised by the stewards at the Qatar Grand Prix and will therefore not start from pole position.

The Dutchman has been handed a one-place grid penalty, meaning he swaps positions with George Russell for the start of the race.

F1 team confirm new name for 2025 season

RB team principal Laurent Mekies has confirmed the squad will undergo a name change for the 2025 F1 season.

The Red Bull junior squad ran as Toro Rosso for 14 seasons before rebranding to AlphaTauri in 2020. It went through another name change this year, switching to the RB moniker with a fresh title sponsor in place.

Verstappen criticises FIA: ‘It makes no sense for them to take this away!’

Max Verstappen was unimpressed about being summoned to the stewards at the Qatar Grand Prix over his qualifying near-miss with George Russell.

The pair locked out the front row at the Lusail International Circuit, but almost came together during the closing stages of the grid-setting session.

Horner baffled by latest Perez howler

Red Bull team principal Christian Horner was left baffled after the Qatar sprint, following Sergio Perez’s latest howler.

Perez started the sprint race at the Lusail International Circuit from the pit lane, due to Red Bull making a suspension set up change during parc ferme.

Hamilton delivers telling ‘don’t care’ F1 message

Lewis Hamilton cut a despondent figure after the Qatar Grand Prix sprint, saying he does not care at this stage of the F1 season.

FIA issue statement on new F1 overtaking guidelines after driver meeting

The FIA has issued a statement after what it called the “most productive meeting” with F1 drivers over overtaking guidelines.

F1’s overtaking rules were thrust into the spotlight after controversial incidents involving then-title contenders Max Verstappen and Lando Norris in the United States and Mexico City Grands Prix.
