Should FIA introduce ground-breaking system in F1?

The FIA has revealed that a ground-breaking system called ‘car connectivity’ will be introduced to Formula E for its upcoming season, but should F1 also be using it?

Lights have been fitted to the back of each FE car which will flash yellow or red when a certain flag is being waved.

The idea behind the system is to improve a driver’s reaction time should there be the need to suddenly slow down, as a result of an incident ahead or the neutralisation of a session for weather or surface conditions.

It is a system which will be particularly beneficial in the wet, when visibility is poor and spotting marshal posts can be difficult.

With the use of the FIA’s new system, drivers will become aware of something happening based on the lights of the car ahead of them.

As FE cars now accelerate faster than F1, meaning its drivers require a similar rapid reaction time, should the system also be introduced to F1?
