Mercedes provide Russell health update after major crash
Mercedes has delivered an encouraging health update on George Russell following his big Mexican Grand Prix practice shunt.
Early in FP2 at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, Russell got onto the kerb of Turn 9, and span at high-speed into the TecPro barrier on the right-hand side, impacting broadside.

Verstappen out of Mexico practice due to ‘weird’ and ‘disturbing’ Red Bull
Max Verstappen has continued to be plagued by problems with his Red Bull in Mexican Grand Prix practice, suffering an early end to FP2.
The reigning world champion’s FP1 session was hamstrung by sustaining floor damage and then an engine problem that brought his session to an early end with six minutes remaining.

Brown argues stewards ‘pressure’ behind rapid Norris penalty
McLaren CEO Zak Brown believes the stewards “felt some pressure” during last weekend’s United States Grand Prix, to decide the outcome of Max Verstappen and Lando Norris’ lap 52 incident before the end of the race.
Norris received a five-second time penalty in the final few laps which demoted him from third to fourth after being judged as having gained an advantage off the circuit.

FIA enters talks over ending USGP F1 track limits nightmare
The FIA and the promoter of the United States Grand Prix are in discussions over fitting removable gravel traps to the Circuit of the Americas before next season’s race, RacingNews365 understands.
Last weekend’s action saw several drivers exceed track limits, particularly at Turn 12 where Lando Norris and Max Verstappen had their most recent incident.

F1 rookie handed bizarre penalty after Mexico incident
Stake rookie driver Robert Shwartzman has been handed a five-place grid penalty by Mexican Grand Prix stewards – despite not being a full-time F1 driver.
Shwartzman was in for Zhou Guanyu at Sauber for the mandatory FP1 session and fell foul of the yellow flags deployed for the incident involving Ollie Bearman and Alex Albon that triggered an eventual red flag.
