Red flags for debris, and crashes for Charles Leclerc and Franco Colapinto made it a stop-start session which ended with Max Verstappen pipping Lewis Hamilton to top spot at the death. 

It was Lando Norris in third as the McLaren racer looks to eat into the 62-point championship lead in FP2.
